By creating an account, downloading the app or using any Chargerrr Service, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Services. Read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
01Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Chargerrr mobile application, this website and all related features, content and communications. They apply from the moment you start using the Services and continue until either you or we end the relationship as described in section 16.
02About Chargerrr
Chargerrr is an electric mobility service provider, or eMSP. The app brings together charging stations from multiple operators so that one account can find a charger, start a session, pay for energy and track your usage.
Most chargers on the network are owned and operated by charge point operators (CPOs), station owners and partner locations — not by Chargerrr. We provide the access, information and payment layer between you and those operators.
03Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in India.
- Your account is tied to one mobile number and is personal to you. Do not share, sell, lend or transfer it.
- Give accurate information and keep it current — especially your vehicle details and contact number.
- Keep your OTP, password and device unlock secure. Activity on your account is treated as activity by you until you tell us otherwise.
- Tell us promptly at the contact in section 19 if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
04Device, data and permissions
You need a compatible smartphone, an internet connection and, for station discovery, location permission while the app is open. Mobile data, roaming and battery costs are yours. We may push service messages such as session completion and payment status; you can manage notifications in the app and in your device settings.
05Charging sessions
A session starts when you authenticate with a charger through the app and the operator accepts the request. It ends when charging stops and the session is settled. During a session you must follow the site rules of the operator, the instructions in the app and all applicable safety requirements.
- Charging availability, power output and uptime depend on the operator, the grid, the site and your vehicle — Chargerrr cannot guarantee any particular charger will be free or working.
- Never interrupt, unplug or tamper with a charger mid-session except as the app or operator instructs, or in an emergency.
- If your vehicle or the charger fails to stop, the session may continue to record until it is settled. Tell us and we will investigate.
- Operators may charge idle or occupancy fees where their parking and turnaround rules require it; where such fees apply they will be shown to you.
- You are responsible for your vehicle and belongings at all times while at a station.
06Fees, payments and wallet
What you pay
Energy is billed by the station operator, usually per kWh or per unit of time, plus any platform, service or parking charges that apply. The rate displayed to you before you start a session is the rate we will bill, subject to operator corrections where a published rate was wrong.
Wallet, top-ups and deductions
- Wallet top-ups are processed through licensed payment partners using UPI, cards, net banking or other supported methods.
- Session charges are deducted from your available balance, then from any applicable credits, in the order shown in the app.
- Charges, credits and refunds appear against your account with an invoice you can download.
- Goods and services tax and any other levies apply on top of displayed prices where Indian law requires.
Refunds
Amounts for a failed, duplicated or incorrectly billed session, and unused top-up balances when your account is closed, are refunded to the original payment method or, where that is not possible, to your wallet or bank account. We target five to seven working days from the date the claim is accepted, though your bank or payment partner may take longer.
07Fair use and acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Tamper with chargers, cables, connectors, meters, signage or station equipment.
- Use another person's account or credentials, or share yours.
- Block charging bays without charging, hog a connector, or leave a vehicle parked beyond the operator's allowed period.
- Scrape, crawl or resell our station, pricing or map data, or run automated tools against the Services without written permission.
- Interfere with, disable or probe the security of the Services, or upload malware.
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes someone else's rights.
- Post false reviews or make false claims about a station, an operator or Chargerrr.
08Rewards and credits
Points, badges, referral bonuses and promotional credits are offered at our discretion and under the rules published with each programme. They have no cash value unless stated, are non-transferable, may expire, and can be withdrawn where a programme is misused or ended. Refund of a real money top-up is made to your payment method, not as promotional credit, unless the programme says otherwise.
09Partner node programme
Businesses, housing societies and landowners can submit an interest form to host a Chargerrr charging node. Submitting the form is an enquiry, not a contract: a hosting agreement is signed separately, and you must have the legal right to the location and the ability to obtain the electrical connection and permissions that the installation requires.
10Availability and changes
We work to keep the Services running, but they may be interrupted by maintenance, network failures, operator outages, grid problems, payment-provider incidents, governmental action or events beyond our reasonable control. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may require you to update the app to keep using it.
11Your content and feedback
You keep ownership of what you submit — reports, photos of stations, reviews, messages. You grant Chargerrr a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use that material to operate and improve the Services, verify station information and respond to you. Please only send content you have the right to share and that is not offensive or infringing. Ideas and suggestions you send us voluntarily may be used without obligation to you.
12Intellectual property
The Chargerrr name, plug mark, logo, app design, software, database structure and original content belong to Chargerrr or its licensors and are protected by Indian and international law. You get a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for your own charging needs. You may not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer, create competing services from, or use our brand in advertising without our written consent.
13Third parties
Charging sessions involve operators; payments involve banks and payment partners; directions involve mapping providers. Their own terms, rules and charges apply alongside ours, and they are responsible to you for their own acts and omissions. We are not a party to the contract between you and a station operator for the supply of electricity.
14Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that station information will always be current, that any charger will be available, or that the app is suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes any right you cannot lawfully give up, including rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
15Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Indian law, Chargerrr is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost savings, lost earnings, vehicle damage caused by a third-party charger, or loss arising from a station operator's or payment partner's act or omission.
Where we are liable for a matter within our control, our total liability for claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the platform fees you paid us in that period and one thousand rupees.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
16Indemnity
You agree to compensate Chargerrr and its directors and employees for losses, costs and legal fees arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of a station or equipment, or a third-party claim caused by your use of the Services.
17Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time from the app or by writing to us; any remaining refundable balance is returned as described in section 6. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, if payment fails or is disputed, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if we must do so to comply with law. Outstanding charges remain payable after termination.
18Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal. Before starting proceedings, both parties will try in good faith to resolve the matter through the contact in section 19; complaints are escalated internally and answered within a reasonable period as required by applicable consumer-protection rules.
19Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the Services and the law change. The updated version is posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and material changes are notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that date means you accept the revision.
